"Hey there beautiful, don't ya know where ya are?" The Orange and black Tabby smiled mischeviously. The puffy white queen looked him square in the eyes, "Why yessen I do, ya must be bein' MaCavity?" The To jumped down,
"Who's askin?" She rolled her eyes,
" Muh name's Grittlebone." He extended a paw,
"Pleasure Ma'am." She ignored his paw.
"Naw, I did naught cum fer cordialities!" He withdrew his paw and squinted his eyes,
"What then?" She smiled smugly at his anger,
"I come demandin' e pearls back, ya und t'sahnd I no be laiking me things drugged off withaught me permission." MaCavity raised his eyes at this queens courage. His mind raced, "Where's she get the gall? Who is she? .... She is so beautiful."
"Why certainly ma'am, if ya follow me I'll get the back for ya." With that the two went off towards MaCavities lair.
"Where'd ya find those at?" Growltiger eyed his mates pearls. "Thought, they was stolen."
"They were, but I waunted 'em back so I's gone t' get 'e." Griddlebone then walked nonchalauntly onto the barge, flirting with the crew as she went softly rubbing her tail under Grittleshanks chin. The Tom blushed but quickly went to scrubbing when he caught Growltigers piercing stare. Grittlebone smiled over her shoulder at Growltiger and continued below deck.
"MaCavity, sir? Are you OK?" MaCavity twirled around him with a smile plastered acrossed his face.
"I'm wonderful!" He all but sang. The stray shook his head and left out the door. A few moments later a huge grey and white Tom stuck his head in.
"Cav?" MaCavity spun around to see his best friend,
"Oh, Hi Trek!" He continued humming. The other Tom smiled, it was nice to see MaCavity happy again.
"Somebody met a girl." his voice had a little of that kittenish "You like her!" kind of tone.
"She's beautiful!" MaCavity sang, "She's wonderful, she even stood up to me! Griddlebone, such a wonderful name!" Trek laughed at Cav's face, it looked like it did when Trek had first met Cav. He thought solemnly to himself," I hope this works out cause if it doesn't... I don't know how'll react." *Authors Note: This refers to my series, in that something happened to Cav's true love so to vent his frustration he just stole trinkets, Trek is worried about what'll be the outcome if Griddlebone isn't the one for him either.* "She's terrific..." He examined his claws, "Only one problem, she's that cat, Growltigers, mate." Trek went to interupt but was shushed, "But he doesn't appreciate her and he's a mangy cat no one likes anyways, so if I... get rid of him it'll be doing everyone a favour!" Cav brightened again and danced out the door before Trek could say a word. "See ya Trek! I'm meetin' her by the docks!"
"Where could she be!?!" Growltiger howled as he paced the deck. "Ever since she went and got them stinking pearls she's been sneaking off. She better not be with a Tom! I can't bel... ARRRRGH!!" He knocked the nearest tom off into the water.
"Hi dear!" A singsong voice rang from the other side of the barge.
"Where..." He softened as he saw her fave. They came close and began to sing a love song. Growltiger though had an aweful problem with staying concentrated and often looked away at other things as he sang. Griddlebone glared as he sang his final note.
Then Genghis gave the signal, to his fierce mongolian hoards. They jumped out of hiding and, after dealing with the crew, advanced on the couple. Grittlebone shrieked but then soon dissapeared and the Siamese advanced on Growltiger. After a violent swordfight Growltiger found Genghis' sword tip on his neck. The cold steel sent chills up his spine. Genghis made him walk to the plank. Growltiger slowly walked towards the deep, black, dark and murky waters. His eyes filled with fear on the brink of tears. As he stepped off the plank he looked behind to see Griddlebone and MaCavity paw in paw watching with a smile, Griddle waved. *Splash* Growltiger sunk to the bottom, his last words were,
"How could..." Now he rested forever in piece at the bottom of the sea.
Genghis walked up to MaCavity and bowed,
"tis don, seer." Cav smiled,
"Very good Genghis, I promote you to Master Thief!" Genghis smiled only slightly then with a last bow and a,
"Thank you" he left. Cav then turned to Griddlebone,
"So my dear, you're free to be my mate!" She smiled seductively and leaned in close so he could feel her breath on his ear and whispered,
"In your wildest dreams." With that she turned and ran off. Cav leaped after her but just missed. He looked at his paw, all he had left was handful of white fur. He burst into tears. Trek cleared off the strays and turned to his friend.
"Cav I'm ... sorrry." Cav looked up his lips trembling,
"She'll pay, all Cats like her will pay, the Jellicles will pay! I killed a Tom for her and they will pay for his death!"
Trek helped his friend home, he hadn't realized it. That Griddlebone was the rebellious Jellicle who had been exiled from the tribe. If only he'd known. He wouldn't have let Cav fall son deeply in love with her. Now Cav's life was wrecked, he'd killed a cat, and now he'd do it again. Their lives would change... Forever.
